Kristen has been a part of our office staff for more than two years and is passionate about providing the highest quality of care to our family of patients. She brings a first-rate attitude along with her lovely personality and enthusiasm. Kristen prides herself on taking care of patient needs from their first contact with our office over the phone, to assisting with financial options and insurance reimbursements. Kristen completed the Nassau BOCES Dental Assistant program and enjoys assisting with chairside procedures when needed.
Lori has more than 20 years of dental assisting experience. Her love and compassion for this field shines through to our patients, while her fresh prospective contributes vastly to our dental team. Loris is extremely comfortable assisting chairside, utilizing her skills in expanded duties. Her sincerity and professional manner create a comfortable and efficient dental experience for all of our patients. Lori’s knowledge of dental procedures and her care for our patients make her an excellent source of information.
Donna has been an integral member of our dental team for 12 years. With more than 20 years of experience as a dental assistant, Donna has implemented many office policies and ensured the highest quality of care for our patients. Donna’s genuine concern for our patients and her friendly disposition has enabled her to establish an impeccable reputation throughout our office. Recently becoming a first time grandmother, Donna now assists part time, splitting her time between her office family and her family at home.

Dental Vibe
Dental Vibe is a handheld device that is used to reduce the pain associated with anesthesia injections during dental procedures. This tool uses vibration to counteract any discomfort felt during injections. It works because the painless sensation of vibrations travels faster, and is more powerful, than the sense of discomfort from the injection. Dental Vibe can significantly reduce any fear, anxiety, or discomfort that patients experience during dental appointments.
Cadent iTero 3D Intraoral Scanner
Garden City Smiles was one of the first dental practices in the nation to use the Cadent iTero 3D Scanner, a handheld device that takes detailed images of a patient’s teeth and oral tissues. The intraoral scanner eliminates the need for uncomfortable gels or puddies, and gathers an astounding 100,000 data points in a few short minutes, creating an accurate model of the mouth to be used for precise treatment plans.
Digital X-rays
Digital X-rays eliminate patient wait time by producing high-quality images immediately. Dr. Buono can also share the results of these X-rays with patients to help them gain a better understanding of their oral health. In addition, digital X-rays use the lowest dose of radiation possible, making them a safe treatment option.
Laser Dental Treatments
According to the American Academy of Periodontology, periodontal disease affects nearly 75 percent of Americans and can pose a major threat to a patient’s total oral health. Dr. Buono is skilled in the use of soft tissue lasers, which can eliminate bacteria and treat problem areas. This treatment is less-invasive than traditional care, and actually promotes the growth of new, healthy tissue. Non-invasive, and affording an unparalleled level of control and precision, laser dental treatment is a tremendously effective treatment for gum disease.
