White Fillings

While Dr. Buono’s first priority is to preserve his patients’ oral health, he also remains committed to aesthetics. White fillings, also known as tooth-colored fillings, provide superior protection of the teeth without detracting from the smile. These fillings blend seamlessly with the natural teeth, and have proven to be safer and more durable than traditional silver and mercury fillings.

Inlays & Onlays

Inlays and onlays are similar to fillings, and are placed over the teeth cusps to preserve the tooth’s structure and prevent further infection. While these restorations can be made of gold, Dr. Buono uses porcelain, tooth-colored material to help patients maintain an attractive smile. Inlays and onlays are bonded directly to the teeth, increasing the tooth’s strength as well as patient comfort.

Implant Restoration

Patients who are missing teeth can receive dental implants to restore the function and appearance of their teeth. While the placement of dental implants is a surgical procedure, Dr. Buono works closely with a qualified and experienced surgeon to place natural-looking and well-fitting implant restorations, such as implant-supported dentures or dental crowns. Implant restoration is the final step to rebuilding the smile.

Dental Crowns

When a tooth has sustained substantial decay or damage, a dental crown can be used to protect the remaining tooth structure and restore the tooth’s appearance. A crown is essentially a cap that encases the entire tooth. Covering the damaged tooth allows patients to speak and chew comfortably. Dr. Buono uses high-quality porcelain materials for his crowns, which have proven to last for more than 20 years.

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is a restorative dentistry option that is used when a patient is missing one or several of their teeth. A bridge consists of a replacement tooth, known as a pontic, and anchor crowns, which encase natural teeth, effectively closing the gap that is left behind by a missing tooth. Bridges can be permanent or removable, depending on patient preferences and oral health condition. If you are missing one or more teeth and are hesitant of dental implants because of cost or surgery, a dental bridge provides an alternative solution./p>

Dentures

When patients are missing several, or all, of their teeth, they may choose to receive dentures, which are designed to replace natural teeth. Patients can receive full or partial dentures, depending on their specific needs. While removable dentures do not offer the same level of stability as dental implants, they can help patients chew and speak comfortably. If anchored to dental implants however, they can offer the benefits of implant restorations and dentures in one package.
