What Veneers Patients Say
“Dr. Buono is the best! His office and staff are amazing. Their attention to detail is like no other and they always make me feel comfortable. I have always been squeamish and hated the dentist until I started coming to this office. Dr. Bueno did my veneers 3 years ago and has been maintaining them ever since. They came out amazing and it's the best decision I've ever made. Love my smile!”

Get to Know Dr. Buono
Dr. Buono received his dental degree from the New York University College of Dentistry in 1987 and now has 35+ years of experience providing transformative care. He continues to augment decades of hands-on knowledge with ongoing education and training to refine his already advanced cosmetic skills. That dedication to his craft is what patients feel in the precision and artistry of every veneer he places.
Dr. Buono was always frustrated by stories of patients being treated as paychecks instead of people. He deeply believes that dental care should be personalized and never a one-size-fits-all solution. He has now spent the better part of four decades fine-tuning his dental philosophy that revolves around compassionate treatment of each unique patient.
He is a dentist who seeks to treat every patient's mouth, mind, body, and spirit. His comprehensive approach, achieved through customized procedures like dental veneers, allows people to enjoy enhancements to their look and confidence. A major aspect of his treatment is ensuring that the atmosphere in our Garden City, NY, dental office is truly calming.

We Can Provide Previews of Your Veneers Results
Dr. Buono utilizes advanced technologies throughout all of his cosmetic dentistry treatments. In fact, his practice was the first ever to implement the Cadent iTero 3D Scanner. This put our practice on the forefront of dental imaging. Dr. Buono has remained at the cutting-edge by adopting the upgraded iTero Element.
When it comes to veneers treatment, Dr. Buono uses custom blueprinting or diagnostic wax-ups to design your new smile. We also use advanced blueprinting to create your temporary veneers. This allows you to provide feedback about your new smile before your lab-crafted porcelain restorations are complete. Doing so allows us to ensure proper function and aesthetics prior to the final placement of your veneers.
Benefits of Porcelain Veneers
Highly Realistic Results
We use quality dental-grade porcelain that mimics the color of natural enamel so that your veneers blend in with your smile.
Fully Conceal Imperfections
Since a veneer covers the front of the tooth, it can conceal many imperfections, including stains and cracks.
Durable Materials
Your porcelain veneers can last ten years or longer with proper care. However, you should avoid biting hard objects.
Versatile
Whether you have one chipped tooth or a full arch of teeth that you want to conceal, dental veneers can help build your new smile.
Customized
Our porcelain veneers are custom-made by cosmetic dentistry artists to meet your specific cosmetic goals.
Stain-Resistant
That pearly-white sheen will stay bright with proper care, leaving your teeth looking healthy and youthful.
Improved Confidence
Dissatisfaction with your smile can take a toll on your overall confidence. Veneers help you embrace your smile with confidence.
What Are Porcelain Veneers?
Dental imperfections can detract from your otherwise healthy smile and leave you feeling self-conscious. Porcelain veneers are thin ceramic shells that are bonded to the front of the teeth to conceal these imperfections and boost your confidence. While they transform the aesthetics of your smile, they do not change the function and health of your teeth and gums.

Our Process of Placing Veneers

Veneers Recovery Is Simple
Some patients avoid dental care because they worry about long, drawn-out recovery periods. This concern does not apply to porcelain veneers. You will be able to resume your day immediately after veneers placement at our Long Island dental practice and begin enjoying your results.
Right away, you will be able to chew and carry out other oral functions just like normal. Some patients experience temporary oral sensitivity, which can be treated with over-the-counter medication recommended by Dr. Buono.

Dr. Buono Has Personal Experience Receiving Porcelain Veneers
Dr. Buono has 35+ years of dentistry experience, affiliations with the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and he has also received porcelain veneers himself. Being on the other end of treatment, Dr. Buono can offer a unique perspective on veneer placement from both a doctor's vantage point and a patient's.
Comparing Veneers to
Dental Bonding
Veneers and dental bonding are frequently confused with each other because bonding is often referred to as "composite resin veneers."
Dr. Buono offers both procedures, each of which can conceal various aesthetic flaws. While they achieve similar results, there are key differences. Bonding (a process of applying tooth-colored resin to a tooth) is considered reversible, while porcelain veneers are not. On the other hand, veneers look more realistic than bonding.
Dental bonding can also be completed in a single appointment for faster results. However, bonding lasts approximately half as long as veneers. In many cases, bonding is an excellent way for a patient to experience the benefits of an enhanced smile and decide whether they would eventually like to invest in porcelain veneers. During a consultation, Dr. Buono can help you explore both of these options.

Understanding the Cost of Veneers & Financing Options
The cost of veneers will vary from patient to patient depending on the number of veneers placed, preparatory procedures needed, and the type of veneers. During your free consultation, Dr. Buono can discuss your options and find a solution that meets your smile needs. Many of our patients choose to cover out-of-pocket costs with CareCredit® financing.
